Startup to create 36 new jobs

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd and AeroWall Dynamics officials announced today the company is investing $508,000 and creating 36 new jobs in Williamson County.

“It is always exciting when Tennesseans use their know-how and unveil the latest technologies to solve problems,” Boyd said. “AeroWall Dynamics is doing that for one of Tennessee’s largest industries. More than 263,400 Tennesseans work in the transportation, logistics and distribution sector, with 12 percent job growth expected over the next decade. I want to congratulate AeroWall Dynamics on its expansion in Williamson County and look forward to their contribution to Team Tennessee.”

Founded in 2014, AeroWall Dynamics produces an attachment that is placed between the cab and trailer of tractor-trailers. Using GPS-enabled speed tracking and sensors, AeroWall Dynamics’ product improves fuel efficiency and reduces emissions for trucks that spend the majority of their time traveling at highway speeds.

AeroWall Dynamics is renovating a 15,000-square-foot office and lab space in Cool Springs. The Franklin-based company plans to expand and sell its product to trucking companies across the U.S. AeroWall Dynamics has already made inroads with FedEx and other logistics and trucking companies.

“We’re excited to announce plans to expand our workforce in Williamson County,” AeroWall Dynamics CEO Gary Ferguson said. “AeroWall Dynamics has designed a first-to-market solution to improve the fuel efficiency, safety and emissions for tractor-trailers. Our new office should provide a base for AeroWall Dynamics to expand our product to customers across the country. I’d like to thank Launch Tennessee and TNECD for their support.”

Franklin and Williamson County are represented by Sen. Jack Johnson (R – Franklin), Rep. Glen Casada (R – Franklin), Rep. Charles Sargent (R – Franklin) and Rep. Jeremy Durham (R – Franklin) in the Tennessee General Assembly.
