Chassen Haynes

Chassen Haynes has been with the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) since 2014. While at the State of Tennessee, Chassen has focused on recruitment efforts in automotive and aerospace and defense sectors, landing over 50 projects which represent more than 26,000 new jobs for Tennesseans and over $10 billion in capital investment in Tennessee. Notable clients throughout his tenure have included Ford Motor Company, Amazon, Facebook, Nissan, Mitsubishi Motors, Wacker, Bridgestone, Volkswagen, 3M, Smith & Wesson and others.

Before joining TNECD, Chassen was with the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce where he was the Director of Existing Industry & Special Projects. Chassen earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University as well as a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Tennessee Tech University. Chassen received the Governor’s Excellence in Service Award in 2019, was recognized as North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect in 2020 and was recognized as the Economic Development Professional of the Year by the Tennessee Economic Development Council in 2022.
