NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Hematite Inc. officials today announced that the auto supplier will establish a production facility in Fayetteville.
Hematite will invest $11.5 million and create nearly 70 jobs over the next five years in Lincoln County. The company will retrofit a vacant industrial building at 49 East Park Drive in Fayetteville. Hematite plans to be operational in the third quarter of 2020.
Hematite manufactures precision products from recycled materials for the automotive industry. The company’s products are designed to manage the impact of acoustics, airflow and water on vehicles. Hematite also designs and manufactures industrial products.
Founded in 1978, Hematite is headquartered in Ontario and also operates a facility in Englewood, Ohio. It employs approximately 280 people.
Since 2015, TNECD has supported five economic development projects in Lincoln County. These projects represent approximately 535 job commitments and more than $129 million in private capital investment.
