Dana Ferguson started with TNECD in January 2020 as a Business Development Consultant for the Northern Middle Region. During her time on the Northern Middle Team she worked/recruited manufacturing and industrial projects such as; Ascent Buildings, Troy Industries, Ultimate Linings, NIC Global, Macy’s Inc., Gutterglove, and FlorimUSA. In April of 2022, she accepted the position of Director of Business Development, where she will use the experience gained in the Greater Nashville region to begin recruitment on a statewide level.
Prior to joining TNECD, Dana worked in economic development on the local level in a rural community in East Tennessee. Working for the State allowed the opportunity for her family to move to her husband’s hometown of Portland, TN. She currently lives in Portland with her husband, John and her two boys Evan and Eli. John is the Head Basketball Coach for Portland High School. Dana has a degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration, both from Tennessee Wesleyan University where she currently serves on the Executive Committee for the Alumni Board. Dana also holds the designation of Tennessee Certified Economic Developer (TCEcD) from the University of Tennessee Center for Industrial Services.
