Medical Technology Company to Create 410 New Jobs

NASHVILLE—Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty along with Enovate Medical officials today announced the company will expand operations at its U.S. headquarters facility located at 1152 Park Ave. in Murfreesboro, Tenn. and create 410 new jobs over the next five years. The expansion in Rutherford County represents an investment of $13.1 million by the medical device and technology company and stems from the consolidation of operations at its Canton, Mich. facility.

“I want to thank Enovate Medical for investing in our state and creating these high quality jobs for Middle Tennessee,” Haslam said. “The medical device industry is an important and growing part of our state’s strong economy, and today’s announcement supports our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“Tennessee is globally known as a center for innovative healthcare solutions and research. Our top export commodities around the world are medical equipment and supplies, totaling $3.6 billion in 2013,” Hagerty said. “I’m pleased Enovate Medical is expanding its presence in Tennessee, taking advantage of our many assets, including our central location, low cost of doing business and high quality workforce. I welcome Enovate Medical’s commitment to Tennessee and look forward to celebrating their continued success in our state.”

“The team at Enovate Medical is excited to announce the next step in our journey—the expansion of our operations in Middle Tennessee,” Enovate Medical President and CEO Nick Mendez said. “The expansion will include our corporate headquarters, manufacturing, and R&D facilities located in Murfreesboro. We are extremely grateful for the collaboration, efforts, and support we’ve received from the officials from state of Tennessee, Rutherford County, and the TVA. With this announcement, we look forward to expanding our participation in the vibrant economy here in Middle Tennessee and increasing our presence in one of the nation’s leading health care communities.”

Enovate Medical designs space-saving, ergonomically correct and comfortable to use wall-mounted computer workstations, mobile computer workstations and medication transport-storage systems that integrate seamlessly into any healthcare environment. Whether using electronic medication administration records or computerized physician order entry and nurse documentation systems, Enovate Medical’s innovative solutions are designed to improve the critical acquisition, interpretation, and transfer of patient data and medication at the point of care. Enovate Medical also manufactures and markets innovative power systems that provide 24/7 power to these mobile workstations.

“We welcome this expansion into our outstanding local medical community,” Murfreesboro Mayor Tommy Bragg said. “This new investment will add to the quality and diversity of the local economy. My congratulations to Enovate Medical as they expand their Murfreesboro presence.”

“Destination Rutherford remains committed to the expansion efforts of our existing industry, and when a company like Enovate Medical chooses to add to their already successful business right here in Rutherford County instead of relocating it out of our community, it’s especially rewarding,” Destination Rutherford Chairman Bill Jones said.

“TVA and Murfreesboro Electric Department congratulate Enovate Medical on its decision to expand in Murfreesboro,” TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley said. “We are pleased to partner with the state of Tennessee, the Rutherford County Chamber, Murfreesboro and Rutherford County officials to help Enovate succeed and add hundreds of new jobs in Murfreesboro.”

Enovate Medical plans to add jobs over the next five years at its Murfreesboro facility. The company will be hiring for manufacturing, maintenance, office and management positions. People interested in applying can submit resumes to [email protected].
