NASHVILLE—Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam and Economic and Community Development Commissioner Randy Boyd along with Servpro Industries, Inc. officials announced today the company will expand its current operations in Gallatin. The cleaning and restoration services company will invest $738,000 and create 204 new jobs in Sumner County.

“We want to thank Servpro Industries for choosing to expand in Tennessee and for its investment in Gallatin and Sumner County,” Haslam said. “SERVPRO is an incredible success story, and this expansion speaks to the quality of our state’s business environment. We are grateful for companies like SERVPRO in our community, and today’s announcement supports our goal of becoming the No. 1 location in the Southeast for high quality jobs.”

“From humble beginnings, SERVPRO has gone on to become one of the most respected companies in our state and in the nation,” Boyd said. “SERVPRO’s decision to relocate their headquarters to Gallatin based on Tennessee’s central location has served them well over the past several decades and we look forward to supporting their continued future growth.”

SERVPRO® specializes in emergency cleanup and restoration of fire and water damaged homes and businesses, among other services. The Gallatin-based franchise company is expanding into currently unused space at their corporate headquarters, which underwent an expansion in 2014 and boasts nearly 200,000 square feet and an additional 150 offices. In utilizing this space, Servpro Industries, Inc. will train franchisees and develop and distribute supplies.

“We have been blessed with ongoing growth,” Sue Steen, Chief Executive Officer of Servpro Industries, Inc., said. “Our growth is attributed to an excellent team of employees who are passionate about serving our Franchise Community. I am proud that a significant percent of our employees also live in Sumner County. This award from the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development will help us continue to expand our operations and bring even more jobs to Sumner County.

SERVPRO launched as a family business in 1967 and moved its headquarters to Gallatin in 1988 in order to reach more of the U.S. market. In 2005, the company moved into a new 140,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility, which provided more room for expansion.

“We’re excited that SERVPRO has exhibited so much success and growth that they are adding jobs,” Gallatin Mayor Paige Brown said. “The expansion says a lot about the company, the workforce in our region, and Gallatin’s business-friendly reputation.”

The Gallatin corporate headquarters employs more than 400 people and there are more than 1,650 franchises operating nationwide. The Tennessean recognized Servpro Industries, Inc. as one of the 2015 Top Workplaces.
