NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Deputy Gov. and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and ITT Goulds Pumps officials announced today the company is establishing its first Tennessee location in Shelby County.
Through the project, ITT Goulds Pumps plans to invest $31 million and create 57 new jobs in Memphis to move into the facility at 5633 Mineral Wells Road and create a new manufacturing and distribution center.
ITT Goulds Pumps currently operates a distribution center in Southaven, Mississippi, and has outgrown the existing facility. The planned expansion will provide the capacity needed to support continued business growth, increase inventory availability and meet rising customer demand.
The company is a part of Flow Technologies, a segment within ITT Inc., which employs over 11,000 people globally. Founded in 1848 in Seneca Falls, New York, it became the world’s first manufacturer of iron pumps. Today, ITT Goulds Pumps has grown to become an industry leading manufacturer of pumps serving customers in the energy, mining, power, chemical, pulp and paper, water and wastewater and general industrial markets. It remains headquartered in Seneca Falls, New York.
