Urgent care clinic to create 70 new jobs
NASHVILLE — Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe along with Fast Pace Urgent Care officials announced today the company will expand in Waynesboro. The urgent care medical company will invest $1.3 million and create 70 new jobs in Wayne County.
“The healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing sectors in Tennessee,” Rolfe said. “Employment in the healthcare industry has grown by 9 percent in Tennessee since 2010 and I want to thank Fast Pace for making this industry even larger by creating 70 new jobs for Wayne County residents. I appreciate Face Pace for its investment in Tennessee and Waynesboro and I look forward to our future partnership.”
Fast Pace provides treatment for a wide range of illnesses, injuries and medical conditions, and also provides wellness, diagnostic and screening services. Fast Pace offers patients the convenience of short wait times and the ability to be seen by a provider without an appointment.
“Our model is to provide quality health care in rural areas across Tennessee. Providing jobs in Wayne County was an easy decision, because being a resource to rural communities is our mission,” Fast Pace CEO Stan Bevis said. “We place the patient in the center of everything we do and these jobs in Wayne County will allow us to provide for better care and meet our core principles.”
Fast Pace is concentrating its efforts to move the greater part of the business office functions to its existing operations in Waynesboro. With this expansion, Fast Pace will add 4,000 square feet to its Wayne County facility to keep up with the company’s growth.
“Fast Pace’s new facility in Waynesboro will have a significant economic impact on Wayne County due to the number of employees that will eat, purchase fuel and possibly even relocate to Wayne County,” County Executive Jim Mangubat said. “I am extremely grateful that the Bevis family chose Wayne County to build this company and locate their main billing and coding facility in Waynesboro.”

It is a huge deal for us to not lose jobs that could have gone elsewhere, but instead create more jobs right here at home. Fast Pace’s investment raises the quality of jobs and the quality of life in our region.”
Waynesboro and Wayne County are represented Sen. Joey Hensley (R – Hohenwald) and Rep. David Byrd (R – Waynesboro) in the Tennessee General Assembly.
