• Memphis-based HVAC company to invest nearly $3 million in expansion
  • Project will create 125 new jobs in Shelby County

 NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee and Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter announced today American Residential Services (ARS®/Rescue Rooter®) will invest $2.75 million to expand its headquarters operations in Memphis, Tennessee.

Over a five-year period, ARS/Rescue Rooter plans to employ an additional 125 new jobs at its Ridge Lake Boulevard facility.

American Residential Services is a privately held Memphis-based company and one of the nation’s largest providers of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and sewer and drain services for homes and businesses. Established in 1975, ARS/Rescue Rooter has built a distinguished national portfolio of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, electrical and energy-efficient services across its locations in 24 states.

Since 2019, TNECD has supported nearly 65 economic development projects in Shelby County, resulting in approximately 8,000 job commitments and $2 billion in capital investment.
