• Project to create 46 new jobs in Humphreys County over the next five years
  • Company plans on adding new equipment to McEwen facility

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Governor Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Gorman Woodyard LLC officials announced today that the company will expand in McEwen. Gorman Woodyard will create 46 new jobs and invest $1.5 million in Humphreys County over the next five years.

Gorman Woodyard is a wood chipping company based in McEwen that provides wood for several paper mills, including Hood Container in Waverly, Tenn. The company plans on expanding its current operations in Humphreys County and adding new equipment to keep up with growing demand.

Since 2015, TNECD has supported 187 projects in the Northern Middle region, resulting in the creation of more than 38,000 jobs and $6 billion in capital investment.
