Metal, millwork and stonework manufacturer to create 50 new jobs
NASHVILLE — Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Tate Ornamental, Inc. officials announced today it will expand its White House operations. The metal, millwork and stonework manufacturer will create 50 new jobs and invest $6 million in Robertson County.
“I want to thank Tate Ornamental for choosing to expand in Robertson County and for its continued investment in White House,” Rolfe said. “Since 2011, more than 77,000 jobs have been created in the manufacturing sector and I appreciate Tate Ornamental for creating 50 new manufacturing jobs in White House.”
Tate Ornamental is a family owned and operated company that has been in business since 1988. The company manufactures ornamental metal, architectural millwork and stonework for many industries including hospitality, corporate offices, shopping centers, museums, government buildings and more.
“Here at Tate Ornamental, we have been fortunate to have many opportunities to expand our business to other cities and states across the country, but the fact of the matter is, there’s no place we’d rather be than White House, Tennessee,” Ronald J. Tate, president of Tate Ornamental, Inc., said. “Our skilled workers are the backbone of this company, and more than that, they are the backbone of this community. Tate Ornamental — and all of Tennessee — depends on our workers because they are the future leaders and future teachers of the next generation.
“For our company to continue to grow and adapt, we need partnership and support from the surrounding community. We are grateful to know we have that and more from the State of Tennessee, Robertson County and the City of White House — all of which helped make this expansion possible. We feel White House is the prime location for manufacturing our goods and transporting them across the country to our projects in Seattle, Miami, New York and Washington, D.C., and we’re confident our neighbors in Robertson County will feel the same,” Tate added.
With this expansion, Tate Ornamental will be expanding its operation into a new 80,000 square foot facility in White House. Construction of the new facility is set to begin in summer 2018 and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2019.
“We are excited about the Tate expansion. New employment opportunities are always welcome news to our economy,” White House Mayor Mike Arnold said. “Thank you to our city economic development team and to Robertson County’s economic development team for all their efforts in making this dream a reality.”
“The Robertson County Economic Development Board is thrilled to work with the Tate Ornamental team to help them bring about this exciting expansion of the Tate Ornamental business in Robertson County,” Margot Fosnes, Chief Economic Development Officer, Robertson County Economic Development Board said. “Tate Ornamental has been a terrific community partner and has been quietly growing over the past decade. This new facility and the accompanying new jobs will offer great opportunities for Robertson County residents to work here at home. We are pleased that Tate Ornamental is the latest company to choose to grow in Robertson.”
“TVA and Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation are proud to partner with Robertson County Economic Development Board, Robertson County Chamber of Commerce, Robertson County and the city of White House and congratulate Tate Ornamental on its decision to expand and create new job opportunities in the Valley,” TVA Senior Vice President of Economic Development John Bradley said.
White House and Robertson County are represented by Sen. Kerry Roberts (R – Springfield) and Rep. Sabi Kumar (R – Springfield) in the Tennessee General Assembly.
