NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Deputy Gov. and Department of Economic and Community Development (TNECD) Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Traxion Materials officials announced today the company will expand operations in Campbell County.
Traxion Materials has invested more than $5 million in Jacksboro, Tennessee, through an ongoing project that will expand the company’s recycling and upcycling processes and create 49 new jobs across the region. With existing infrastructure that includes structured tire collection, wholesale tire distribution, tire shredding and processing and Tire Derived Fuel (TDF) supply, the company is well-positioned for continued growth and increased production across its network.
Anchored by its primary facility in LaFollette, Traxion Materials operates the Traxion Tire LifeCycle Network across Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina, partnering with tire retailers, automotive dealerships, manufacturers, fleet operators and logistics companies to sustainably manage the flow of used tires across the country. Expanding its regional footprint supports Traxion’s mission to keep second-life tire materials in productive use rather than in landfills or stockpiles.
