Blake Swaggart

Blake Swaggart is the Northwest Tennessee regional director for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. As regional director, Swaggart is the primary point-ofcontact for Northwest Tennessee companies seeking state assistance with expansion or with accessing state services.  

Prior to being named regional director in June 2011, Swaggart served as a jobs development specialist for TNECD, successfully developing projects in Shelby, Lauderdale, Dyer, Lake, Obion and Tipton counties.

Before joining ECD in 1993, Swaggart worked as an economic development analyst with the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

Swaggart is a graduate of Georgia Tech Institute of Technology with a master’s degree in economics and planning and Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He also earned an economic development certification from the University of Oklahoma.
