Braden Stover serves as the Senior Advisor for Nuclear and Quantum Strategy at the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. In this role, Stover leads statewide initiatives to position Tennessee as a national leader in advanced energy and next-generation computing. He develops and implements strategies that expand nuclear technology innovation, accelerate quantum research and network deployment and strengthen collaboration among universities, utilities, private-sector companies and federal research institutions.
His work supports workforce development, fosters regional innovation clusters and advances investment attraction efforts that help communities across Tennessee benefit from emerging high-tech industries. Stover also provides subject matter expertise on technology trends, infrastructure requirements and industry readiness to ensure Tennessee remains competitive in rapidly evolving nuclear and quantum markets.
Prior to joining TNECD, Stover held policy and legislative roles in the Tennessee State Senate, the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, where he gained extensive experience navigating complex policy environments. He is a graduate of Belmont University and resides in Mt. Juliet with his wife Gracie and their two children.
