Brooxie Carlton serves as the Assistant Commissioner of Rural and CommunityDevelopment for the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development. In this position, Carlton oversees federal grant funding from the Delta Regional Authority, the Appalachian Regional Commission and the Community Development Block Grant program. She works with the Broadband Accessibility, Tennessee Main Street, ThreeStar, and SelectTN programs. Carlton has been involved in the administration of nearly 4,000 grants totaling more than $1.3B including more than $800M in federal funding.
